Hi! I’m Cândida, a graphic designer who loves illustration and happens to work as a stationer by chance. Don’t all great things in life happen this way?
I call my studio Oficina (workshop) as its Latin root means "place were the work is made". It was meant indeed from the very beggining to be the place where I can bring to life my whimsical and colourful view on love. A field full of blooming wildflowers. A painting by Chagall in which my beloved morphs into a floating contortionist just to kiss me. All artifacts made through civilisations in the name of love.
Oficina's collections are an outlet for whichever inspiration the outside world gives me, be it landscapes, faces, small details or even oddities. Images that I concoct with songs of past ages and birds, flowing water and laughter, the fragrance of flowers and taste of ripe fruit. I research. I sketch. I test, discard and repeat. And I do things this way, other than being designer, because I don’t believe in cookie-cutter fairy tales.
I believe in you and your story. Because my biggest inspiration is love and love comes in every shape and form.
